Last night, as I twittered while watching this joke of a production I thought, “Am I just getting old, or does this just REALLY suck?”  I mean, they cut off Lupe in the middle of his first verse to cut to commercial then later let some horrid punk band led by some amazingly annoying girl take the stage for the entirety of their song.  I mean, they literally shut down MTV Jams, (you know their only channel that actually PLAYS VIDEOS) and displayed a screen demanding that we watch the VMA’s.  And this is the trash we’re put through?  And to top it all off, Britney Spears walks with “best video of the year” FTW.  Nice.  It must have been last years deliciously amazing performance which really wowed the producers at MTV to bring her back again.   She stole the show.  And not only that, but can we PLEASE stop pretending to enjoy Kanye’s singing.  He CAN’T SING.  HE CAN’T SING! HE CAN’T SING!! It’s not profound, there’s nothing to it.  Dude’s a great rapper but he CAN’T SING!  *gasp* BLASPHEMY!  Should I just type the hate mail for you now so you can copy and paste it to me? 

I just… I can’t articulate my feelings clearly into words on this.. it’s just.. well… well screw it, Rich says it ALOT better than me.
