Here’s something a little unexpected.  Von Pea and Donwill of Tanya Morgan decided to spit on the entire collection of  “Sandwiches” instrumentals for Late Nite With Jimmy Fallon that ?uestlove put out via Twitter a while back.  “Cheesesteak” is the first of an entire album of tracks they plan on releasing in the near future.  I like this alot!  Some of that moon-roof-all-the-way-open-on-the-expressway-in-summer-at-dusk type music.  What you think?

I’m not mad at this free album.  It’s not amazing and it’s not bad.  How I feel about Tanya Morgan has no bearing on what I think of this album.  It’s okay.

To be honest, I’ve been a bit salty toward Tanya Morgan since an earlier tour they did a year or so ago. In an email announcing their next stop, it stated something to the effect of “If you’re late to our show, you’re a sorry piece of shit that doesn’t deserve to listen to our music.  Expect to get clowned”.  They were opening for a larger act and I had gathered hardly anyone was showing for their sets.  They were probably a bit agitated about that.

Kooley High is still rockin it with another single from their upcoming album Eastern Standard Time.  Sounds like it’s turning out to be quite a fresh underground album.  I also just found out these guys are going on tour with the undergound group I love to hate most, Tanya Morgan.  Congrats to Kooley High, of course I know you guys are passing up Michigan on your tour, so for that reason I’m not posting your tour dates.   How you like me now!?
