Finally. Been wondering what these guys have been up to. We've been following A.DD+ for close to three years now and watched these guys evolve and grow, it's been an amazing transformation. Big shouts to Slim and Paris for continuing to work and follow their dreams.
'Can't You See' is a collaboration between Dallas rap group (and Red Bull Soundstage artists) A.Dd+ and producer NickNack. The video was directed and produced by OG of Luxury Mindz.
The song, which appears on NickNack's album 'State Machine' and is available at Crowd Control Records and NickNack's bandcamp page, came about when A.Dd+'s DJ Sober met up with NickNack in Austin during a Red Bull Thre3Style event. NickNack said he was a fan of the group and played a few beats. The end result was 'Can't You See,' a head-bobbing tune with a soulful beat and sharp lyrics from rappers Paris Pershun and Slim Gravy.
A.Dd+ debuted their first album, 'When Pigs Fly,' in 2011 to wide acclaim, earning raves from Pitchfork Media and XXL. The group's upcoming mixtape, 'DiveHiFlyLo,' drops January 26. A.Dd+ will celebrate the release with a performance at the Granada Theater in Dallas.

This week we had a special guest in the basement, Mola1 of The Definition talking and spittin some verses. The finale of HoodHype's Hip-Hop Fight Club (Notorious B.I.G.'s Ready to Die vs. Outkast's Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik) went down and it was a tough one. We also reviewed Killer Mike's R.A.P. Music with a surprise call-in from Killer Mike to debate the album.

Phro was out this week, but Major and JMack held down the fort going into the East Coast bracket for the Hip-Hop Fight Club (click for your bracket), discussed South By South West with the homie Sean Falyon and a ton of crazy new indie hip-hop!

What can I say about him? Black Milk is by far one of the best indie stage acts out there right now for this simple reason: he entertains. That's a lot more than you can say for most artists out there who think they should be able to get on stage, rap and be paid. If you're familiar with Black Milk's music then when you hear these songs, you understand how much of a change up and work went into stepping up this show for his fans. Watch what happens at the 4:00 and the 5:20 mark. Crazy. At one point the drummer, Zeb Horton snaps a drum stick (he did 3 times that night) and keeps rollin with it.
If the Claps and Slaps Tour is coming to your town, you'd be missing out huge if you didn't check it out. Incredibly good show if you're music nerds like us or if you just wanna get down. #supportindiehiphop !!

The Dallas Texas duo (Slim Gravy & Paris Pershun) perform their (Black Milk produced) track at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, Michigan for their Claps & Slaps Tour with Black Milk and Seattle Washington's J.Pinder.
I've been following A.Dd+ for just about two years now, so it goes without saying that I'm a huge fan of their work. This tour is a good look and I hope these dudes absolutely rip it at SXSW. Much respect.
