We caught Bun B just as he was about to take off from the venue for a short interview.... Catch the interview in Episode #154 of the HoodHype show
Another absolute Action Bronson classic. I wonder what Ghostface is thinking right now... Much love and respect to DuckDown Records.
Bun B came out before the show to let everyone know Red Bull was filming a television show and that everyone needed to keep their phones and cameras down during the competition.
Phro, Myself (JMack) and Matt (aka PhotoMatt aka TDH Photo) will be at the historic St. Andrews Hall in Detroit tonight to bear witness to what proves to be yet another sick freestyle competition. It'll be real tough for these dudes to be spittin' written given the format of the event (description below). It's an 8-stop tour with Detroit being stop #7, the final being in Atlanta this year. Although we aren't allowed to pull any video, peep the rebound in the next couple of days we'll be back with photos and audio interviews in the next episode of the HoodHype Show. Hit the jump to peep the official RedBull Emsee rundown, footage of last years competition and the official flyer. See you there! Read the rest of this entry »
Maestro hangs with Bun B in Houston while they check out some of the local food, cop some kicks and hang with Bobbito and Greg Street at an event. They also took a minute to talk about Bun's upcoming album "Trill O.G." dropping this summer.
Good to see the finished product. I still like the original with Kweli on the second verse as opposed to 88-Keys, but the track is still hot. K-Salaam & Beatnick's album Where The Streets Have No Name is available now.
This is behind the scenes footage from the "Don't Die" Remix video featuring Bun B, Colin Munroe, 88-Keys and produced by Beatnick & K-Salaam. I've been a fan of that track since it dropped, and I can't wait to see the finished product. It's cool to see Julito from The Wire in there too. Still wish they would have done a 6th season of that show.
