A slightly more polished video than what we're used to from another single off D.Brown's The Hybrid available for free download.

Here's a new video for another single off Danny Brown's The Hybrid.    One of my favorite tracks off the album, but the video could use a bit of a quality upgrade.  Then again, D. Brown is known for his gritty ass image, so it kinda fits.

You'd think with Tony Yayo off to the side there, he'd bust off a few g-unit chips to upgrade the video production.  Then again, maybe its all intentional.

Either way, I still support the hell outta this dude.

Episode #110 was a great show, we got to interview one of our favorite rappers from the A, Stat Quo and we were also blessed with the presence of one of my favorite artists out of Detroit, Danny Brown.  By far one of the craziest and entertaining dudes on the mic in the independent scene right now.    Dateline can run a report Detroit all they want, but they can't tell a story like that of D. Brown.  We talked about everything from possible label deals, video games as a form of depression (lol), his influences, the Detroit scene and the unity and ALLL his music...

For those of you who frequent the site, you may have caught on to the April Fools prank we pulled this April 1st.  For those who don't, earlier last week we changed the design of the site, dropped a press release, changed the name of the show to "Double-Hits", dropped all nasty language, drinking alcohol and spun strictly mainstream for the first 10 minutes of the show.   Some listeners caught it, some listeners left with their hands in the air, some listeners totally stuck around rode it out (shouts to you guys)!  It was a great time and we had a great show and made sure to make it up to everyone with tons of great music and interviews with Atlanta's Stat Quo, and Detroit's Danny Brown.  Check it out!

Don't forget you can subscribe for free in iTunes so the show automatically goes to your iPod! Or you can subscribe via Zune Marketplace with your Microsoft Zune!

What up Doe?  This is probably one of the best D. Brown interviews I've heard to date.  Well done!

Spotted this at FWMJ's crib.  "I'm just up there crackin jokes half the time"

I don't think there has been a single Danny Brown song I've heard where I haven't said "Damn" at least once after hearing a punch line or off the wall reference he makes.

Cop that Hybrid album while you watch!

Freshly dropped a couple days ago, Danny Brown is in my top 5 list for favorite Michigan MC's of all time.  Yeah some of his production is quirky and his flow is real ragged.  But I like that about this dude's music.  Because you can judge him on the surface of things but when you listen to Danny Brown's lyrics, the metaphors he drops in some of these songs are re-goddam-diculous.

Danny Brown, one of my favorites.  We caught him live a while back at the HexMurda benefit last year.  Check the download  link, album stream, cover art and track listing after the jump! Read the rest of this entry »

What up doe?!  Man Danny Brown got gully as hell on this track AND the video.  What gets me though, is when you consider | the resources | some of these other artists have in the D, you'd expect a more professional type of video.  Not that it's a requirement, hell its all art. Maybe the grimy, poorly shot feel was the intention because the track is gritty as hell too.  Either way, I'm still a damn big fan of Danny Brown.

We don't normally make a habit out of posting flyers here since it's so localized, but Major had a good point.  It's in our back yard and these are two hot ass shows that are killing me to have to miss since we're all going out to Vegas for CES on the 8th and 9th.

Not only will Monica Blaire be doing a show earlier with RoSpit and Marvwon, but directly after at the legendary Shelter at St. Andrews Hall in Detroit is the Wayne Fontes CD release party featuring the likes of two of my favorite Detroit underground superstars, Miz Korona and Danny Brown.

Wish we could go, I know I'll be severely missing out on these shows.

I have no idea how I missed this back in February.  But props to Pat from DetroitRap, because I would have missed it otherwise.  Danny Brown has gotta be one of the craziest lyricists out of the D right now  with a flow that can't be touched or forgotten.  Get familiar with D Brown y'all.
