Another mixtape that's only called a mixtape for legal reasons, but is really an album.  I would have EASILY paid money for this joint, wouldn't you?

B.o.B., you guys killed it on this one.  I have to admit I slept on "F**k the Money" when it was leaked a while back, and I'm now regretting not believing in the Bobness.   His first official label release is supposed to drop May 25, 2010 but I've already heard rumors that it's already been pushed up to April.

Great album B.o.B., this is the type of creativity that keeps us motivated to keep doing HoodHype.  Just damn good music.

New joint off Jeezy's upcoming Trap or Die II mixtape hosted by DJ Drama. I like this cut a lot, reminds me of Jeezy's sound off the Thug Motivation album. What y'all think about it?

Sirius needs to be putting shit like this on during drive time and stop putting Green Lantern on so late at night so we can listen to it in the whip.  LA is insane and I thought Rae was gonna choke up for a second there, but Raekwon brought the heat too and big shouts to Willie the Kid. What up Michigan?!

Gangsta Grillz
Courtesy of DJ Drama's Gangsta Grillz: The Album Volume 2 dropping tomorrow.  It's luke warm lyrically, it has no choice but to be at least that when you have Face and Nas on the track.

The thing that gets under my skin with songs like this is how obvious it is that these artists were not recording this track in the studio together.  The energy that they would have from vibing off of each other is completely non-existent in this track, making it fall a bit short musically.  Everyone spit their own verse and did the business, it just has no soul to it.  I get nothing.

Is it too much to ask for some of these mainstream artists to get really passionate about their music?  Has money and the mainstream bored you so much that you've lost your creative drive?  Songs like this kill me, so much potential, it sounds really nice and that's about it.  I'm going back to my indie playlist, eff this mess.
