Phro brought "AGoody" back to the basement with a complete collection of liquor.  Needless to say the show kicked off to a great start.  We spun some incredible music, JMack talked about his visit to the A3C festival in Atlanta, GA in the US and we got into a big debate over older women.  We had a GREAT time this episode, especially when the "yac" started to kick in.

Elzhi breaks down a piece from his track with Royce on his album The Preface called "Motown 25". Honest to God, the dude was spittin' so much in that verse I could hardly tell what the hell he was sayin.  Elzhi is a monster.  Props to the "Syllable Scientist".

At Black Milk's "Album of the Year" release party in Los Angeles performing one of my personal favorites from the Caltroit album.  That show looks like it was just as dope as the Detroit show!  Coincidentally, we just spoke to Bishop Lamont on last week's show as well, that interview will be up very soon.

The Big Homie D and I went to the Black Milk album release party at St. Andrews Hall in Detroit and like I said before, one of the craziest hip-hop experiences I've had in my life.  I feel blessed we were able to get some footage, especially of this excellent tribute to a few of hip-hop's fallen Detroit soldiers.

I still have alot more footage to post, here's a few you may not have seen yet:

Video: Black Milk opens his set with "Long Story Short", "365" and "Welcome"

Video: Black Milk performs "Give The Drummer Some", "Shut It Down" and a remix of a song I can't seem to make out.  ITS FIRE THOUGH! lol

Video: Black Milk performs "Deadly Medley with Royce Da 5'9" & Ezhi and "Losing Out" with Royce as well.

One of the best hip-hop shows I've seen all year and quite possibly the best hip-hop experience I've had my entire life.

In Episode #122 of the HoodHype show, Major and I had a bit of a conflict when the subject of live hip-hop shows came up.  My stance has always been that hip-hop acts just seem to generally lack that feeling you get listening to their albums.  They have always lacked any sort of real stage presence and the ability to completely captivate.  Let me validate my opinion here. I've seen a few shows.  Shows you'd expect to be crazy like Outkast, the Hard Knock Life Tour, Busta Rhymes, Kid Cudi, Jay-Z & Eminem etc etc etc.  And while they all were entertaining, they always seemed like they were missing a lot.  Overblown vocals, an emotionless, straight-faced DJ and a giant LED screen can only go so far, know what I mean? This is one of the tracks I heard about on Black Milk's Album of the Year that I couldn't WAIT to hear, and that shit wasnt in vain either.  FIRE!  I can't wait till this album release party, it's gonna be sick!  I just wish we could get a legal advance copy before the album drops to get the full appreciation of what we're gonna be hearing with Detroit's own Will Sessions band backing Black Milk.

This is a joint has been in the HH Live show rotation for a while, but now we have some imagery to go with the track. "Deep" is definitely one of my favorite cuts off The Leftovers UnMixedTape. Black Milk murdered the beat, and Elzhi proves why he's one of the dopest MC's out. It's about time more people take notice.

It's funny that we're not in an age where there are trailers for three minute videos.  Can't wait till this video drops however, it's definitely one of the best cuts off  "The Leftovers" street album.
