Midwest bracket for the hip-hop fight club this episode. What we thought would be one of our easiest, was actually one of the toughest with the biggest upsets. Make sure you check that out! We also had Bumpy Knuckles & DJ Premier's new album The Kolexxxion on the chopping block for Blend it or Bump it. Download episode 166 free! Read the rest of this entry »
What we thought the Trayvon Martin case would be a single topic we'd carry through the show and it ended up taking it completely over. The episode was full of heated debate and overrode any of the other segments, so we're releasing this as a "special episode" since this has never happened on the show before, as we're sure you'll hear. We were all in rare form and the episode was not your typical installment of the show. Everyone was extremely emotional and passionate about the topic so things go crazy at times. We're still recovering. Read the rest of this entry »
We went in this week on damaging your liver, the White Girl Mob and the great n-word debate, a discussion on great collaboration albums and a ton of great new music.
At the Royal Oak Music Theater in Michigan. We have a BUNCH of footage from that night, here's a collection of clips. Eminem made a special appearance on the "2.0 Boys" song as they closed out the night. Great show... we'll be posting the rest of the footage very soon!
Back off "the sickness" and we throw you all another curve ball as we run half the show in "the basement" and then we took it to the road as we headed to the Shady 2.0 show (we even snuck in a couple audio snippets from the show for you all).
Last nights show with Eminem and Jay-Z at Comerica Park in the D last night looks like it was sick as hell. However, word is Em was spittin over his own vocals, so that kinda sucked, but it looks like Jay-Z murked the whole show. Damn. Hit the cut to see a shit-ton more footage from the show with BoB, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Jeezy, Drake and a LOT more.
First off, all 3 of these dudes killed it. I love the energy that Em and Wayne brought, and you could genuinely see Drake's excitement come through in his performance. Now moving on to CBS, WTF were their censors doing? I can understand muting a word or two, or even a phrase, but these bastards were taking out whole bars at a time. That is the worst live show edit job I've ever seen, and reminded me why I usually don't f with the Grammy's and end up watching something else. It's too bad because in the end, it's the fans watching at home who got f'd over.
Looks like this is the first official leak off Eminem's Relapse: Refill album. After one listen I wasn't impressed. To me it sounded just like something off the first album, and you know how we felt about that cd. After listening to it a second time I've changed my mind, it's not all bad. Still not the type of banger I was looking for, but it's worth the listen. Spotted over @ Eskay's. Album hits the stores on Dec. 21st.
Eminem murkin the same beat after the jump...which begs the question... if Em had this beat before Slaughterhouse even dropped the single and album, how long has he been talking with Slaughterhouse about a deal? Or maybe it's simply that it's an Alchemist beat and Alchemist is Em's DJ. Whoooooooo knows. Read the rest of this entry »
