Just peeped this video over in IllSeed's rumors section. After getting half way through the vid I noticed a couple of things. First, the song is on point musically, and I found myself agreeing with a lot of the lyrics. The second thing that jumped out at me is the amount of southern artists used in the video. Believe me, I understand why they chose to put rappers like Gucci and Plies on display, but why use southern artists almost exclusively to make your point? Let's not act like the east coast, midwest, and west coast don't have their own car flaunting, gimmicky , booty poppin examples that could have been tossed into the mix. At the end of the day all different types of hip-hop have their place, I just wonder why the holier than thou types have to take aim solely at the south instead of widening their scope to include "minstrel" music that could actually come from their own backyard. If you ask me, I think its bullshit.
