Jay-Z and Nas
Live from London with Chris Martin of ColdPlay on the keys.  You never hear about monumental shit like this happening in Detroit dammit.  Anyway, this is apparently one of a few live recordings from a show in 2006 that DJ Green Lantern dug up and made available via twitter.

Gangsta Grillz
Courtesy of DJ Drama's Gangsta Grillz: The Album Volume 2 dropping tomorrow.  It's luke warm lyrically, it has no choice but to be at least that when you have Face and Nas on the track.

The thing that gets under my skin with songs like this is how obvious it is that these artists were not recording this track in the studio together.  The energy that they would have from vibing off of each other is completely non-existent in this track, making it fall a bit short musically.  Everyone spit their own verse and did the business, it just has no soul to it.  I get nothing.

Is it too much to ask for some of these mainstream artists to get really passionate about their music?  Has money and the mainstream bored you so much that you've lost your creative drive?  Songs like this kill me, so much potential, it sounds really nice and that's about it.  I'm going back to my indie playlist, eff this mess.

Supernat is incredible.  Why do I gotta be in Detroit the only city that's not on their tour schedule  I would love to go to the Toronto or Chicago show if someone from Guerilla Union wants to hit us up.  Anyone else going?

Check the poster here.

Eldorado Black
According to Eskay/an MTV Interview the original title of this joint was "Fear of a Black Man's Dick".    There's also another cut "Livin' It" which were supposedly originally meant for the "Ni**er Tape" or "Untitled". Both of these are featured on DJ 31 Degrees '- El Dorado Black Project

If you listen and follow Nas, then you've probably heard the track with Large Prof, "Stay Chiseled".  I didn't find out until today that there was an extended version with second and third verses on the track floating around out there.
