Race was a huge topic this episode and we aren't talkin' NASCAR. Between the Red Tails movie, MLK Day and Phro being back to the show, it got really racial in the basement this episode, (no finish line). We also reviewed Common's The Dreamer, The Believer for Blend It or Bump It, visited the Common vs. Drake beef and much more. Let's go!
Herman Cain wasn't the only one acting scandalous this episode. Everything from childhood television shows to Michael Jackson's doctor's jail time was fair game in episode 154. Also includes some interviews Phro had with Mr. Porter and Trick Trick at the Redbull Emsee challenge in Detroit!
Yo.... hang on a second. Omen, the one and only feature on J Cole's 'The Warm Up' mixtape just dropped this today and man, this dude just gained a fan over here. I had to go back and re-listen to both of their verses to fully absorb it and appreciate it. I love independent music. Can't wait to hear what's coming from this dude Omen. Don't sleep on Elite either. I'm assuming he produced the track (since that's what he's known for), he definitely went in on this. Even though he seems to stand by his moniker "I am not a rapper" I agree to disagree my friend.  You were spittin some bars and therefore by default, you have completely contradicted your own shit! Much respect, definitely hope I'm kept in the loop on these dudes.
