A video from one of my favorite new(er) video crews 3 Little Digs. Shouts to Sean Falyon still being everywhere (SFBE) and putting out a video for one of his standout tracks on SFBE2. Even though he insists the preacher speaking in the song is a cut from the movie "Colors" I still stand by my original theory that it's Playboy Tre on those clips.
In celebration of Crown Royal Black's partnership with Big Boi, cameras went behind the scenes to document Big Boi in compelling moments of his life and career that showcase his definition of "The Crown Life." The short film lets audiences into Big Boi's life as he performed during the 2011 Grammy Awards weekend; inside his studio, Stankonia, as he prepares for his latest projects; and an evening out on the town in his hometown of Atlanta with stops at his favorite spots to unwind.
The film is directed by Hudson Dusters for Greenpoint Pictures.
We discussed racism against postal workers, Drake getting knuckled up by Weezy, a listener submitted Stash Box and we put Devin the Dude's latest album on the chopping block for Blend it or Bump it!
One of our favorite new artists is back at it. This video is done in conjunction with NahRight, and I applaud the dudes for keeping a one-room video somewhat interesting. Video aside, the track is hard as hell and can be found on Pills's4075: THE REFILL which is available for download now.
Who was spittin the hardest on this session? I gotta go withGibbs, who just slightly edged out Jay Rock and Pill , who did his thing, but it sounded like he went almost 100% off the head. Honorable mention to Lamar and Armeretta. Props to OnSmash for the footage
Man we had a LOT of fun this episode, so we can only hope you have as much fun listening as we had recording it. We discussed everything from the questionable Sampling of songs by Queen to 50 Cent's independent flick as well as really great interview with Atlanta's own Pill.
