Finally! I've been waiting for a track from young Jermaine to rekindle the fire I had for his forthcoming album. Last year J. Cole's buzz seemed to peak with the release of "Who Dat?", which was a hot record, but left many of his fans hungry for more material, and wondering when the album would drop. Since May 2010, all we've had to hold us over was 2 fire verses on Miguel's "All I Want Is You", and the Friday Night Lights mixtape which didn't match the content found on The Warm Up. This track on the other hand, has all the makings of a banger and gives me hope that Cole is back on the right track and that his official album is around the corner. Enjoy.

In the aftermath of last week's show I missed this gem by J. Cole. I can't wait for this dude's album to drop. He is one of the few cats consistently putting out good music.

When we were at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in January we stumbled across something hot at the Skullcandy booth...ohh, and there were headphones there too!  What we ended up getting was a personal demonstration of their latest creations fresh from the labs, the Roc Nation Aviator series and the Mix Master Mike signature series headphones.  Roc Nation, Jay-Z's music and entertainment company, partnered with Skullcandy to try and take market share away from Dr. Dre and Monster's Beats collection. No really they put together a product that has an amazing look and feel while delivering crisp clean sound.  What stole the show was the MMM signature series DJ headphones.  Exclusive to the MMMs are swiveling ear cups that divert stereo sound to the other ear, dual earphone screw in plugs so you can have the cord on the side of your choice and an on ear mute button so you can kill the sound at the flick of a button.  Both models are fully collapsible for easy transfer and storage.

Can they compete with the Beats…hard to say?  As a daily user of Monster Beats and Shure SE210s (both buds), I’m all about my sound, but without a side by side comparison in a less crazy environment it’s too close to call.  Monster, Skullcandy…let’s make this happen!

Mix Master Mike signature series - $249
Roc Nation Aviator series - $299

Both pair are available Summer 2010 which is right around the corner… unless you live in Michigan.

I've been waiting to hear more from this dude. I hadn't heard a whole lot from him since he was signed to Roc Nation. I like this joint though, the dude has lyrics and that beat is solid.
