New banger from Sai produced by The Kickdrums. The thing I don't get is this beat was already used by the homies from Kalamazoo, M.E.D.. You can head over to their myspace page and check out the track "Do You". Some of the vocal samples have been taken out on Sai's version, but the guts of the beat are the same.

Saigon
A little late on it, but definitely worthy of the HoodHype blog.  Inspired by Rik Cordero's film Inside a Change Saigon is back on it with this brief autobio track.  Produced by the always prolific Kickdrums.  These dudes have me wanting to make my own damn beats like NOW. Gaffled from Three21Media.

Budden
Maaaaan.  That beef was heatin' up good.   Word is Just Blaze got Budden and Saigon on the phone together and ironed all the bullshit out.  That's too bad, as a hip-hop fan I was actually getting some entertainment out of the whole thing.  Oh well, maybe Just Blaze saw something on the verge of escalating outside the music which is never a good thing.

Well it was good while it lasted.

Update: Skrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrt....

Phro posted up a comment that this beef squashing (sounds like dinner) is all rumor.  30 seconds of searching proved that Phro was correct.  Its still goin down, so we're still waiting on Joey to return fire now.  Here's the quote from XXL via MissInfo:

“When asked to confirm whether or not he got on the phone with Budden, Sai denied everything that Just Blaze wrote on his twitter account last night. “Nah that’s what Just Blaze wants to happen in his heart,” he said. “I don’t know where he got that information from but that’s totally bullshit.“

In fact Sai thinks Blaze said that to cool things down. “I don’t know where that came from,” he explained. “For a while you know Just been trying to squash that shit cause he understands what it can turn in to. He just doesn’t wannsa see it go past –you know just been around me and a lot of my people – and he doesn’t wanna see it go anywhere other than wax. And he knows that’s very, very, very likely gonna happen.”

“We wanna see what Joey’s gonna do,” he added, “Cause he claims he’s gonna go there and do something. He’s gonna put his foot in my ass or whatever – so I don’t know where this phone shit came from.”

Budden is eatin Saigon. Wait, no he ate Saigon, regurgitated dude, blended him and ate him again,  digested him for a while, then left him in a highway rest area shitter somewhere in Hoboken.

"And the poor fans kept the hope
But prison is the only place he was next to blow
so he called me a fag like he homophobic
cuz they had him on his knees like homo hold it"

"guess theres where the lies get deeper
he went in a tight end and came out a wide receiver"

"to put it simply how can he offend me
I'll teach him how to live real major on a indie"

Saigon was right. He doesn't do beef. Not a bad reply to Joe Budden's Saigon diss which came out of nowhere last week. I think I saw a Joe Budden reply floating around out there already.  Stay tuned...

Damn they beat us to the punch on the interview. After giving the run of the mill "beginning of the year" speech ("We're gonna do it real big in 09"), Saigon sounds like he's tryin to take this battle the exact same place Ransom wanted to take it. Hopefully it will stay on wax, these two battling could be some good shit.

This came out of left field.   Budden kills his beef with Ransom and then immediately turns around and throws  some gas on a fire that was just about out?

You know what I love about tracks like this?  They leave very little for bad DJ's who can't interview with lame content for their cheesy radio shows.  I love it.
