Detroit did hip-hop fans real proud this night as everyone came together to support hip-hop manager /impresario / AllHipHop.com writer / Twitter extraordinaire HexMurda. Not only was there a great turnout and a really positive vibe, but the shows were off the hook and the crowd was full of energy. We met a lot of great people that night and saw ALOT of great artists rippin up the stage.

I feel sick that I not only had to knock the hour of footage down to 25 minutes, but I also had to break it up into three 10-minute videos (youtube). If you have any suggestions for somewhere I can upload a full hour of footage, let me know as I'd love to post the entire hour of footage somewhere.

My apologies for the shaky flip cam and distorted audio. Alot of excitement, a few drinks (more than a few), and being 3 feet from the stage speakers will do that lol.

Big shouts to the homies M.E.D., DetroitRap.com and MichiganHipHop.com who were also in the building.

Parts 2 & 3 after the jump...

Some great footage taken at the historic "Studio A" (not Hitsville Studio A) here in Detroit where they took Dilla's old 2" studio reels and converted them to digital form in protools while they talk a little history with the Studio engineer and the founder of Barak Records while listening to some classic Slum Village tracks.

Damn this is some interesting shit to watch.  I LOVE studio videos like this, we should have an entire section dedicated to them.

I'm really glad to see this video drop. Slum is one of my favorite groups and this is a great send off for Baatin. This video is dope. Make sure to look out for Villa Manifesto.

Black Milk speaks on his history with Baatin of Slum Village as well as his passing and delivers some exclusive footage at the end.

From YouTube:

Words from Black Milk on the passing of his friend and colleague Titus "Baatin" Glover of Slum Village...

Baatin was the first to discover Black's production talent nearly a decade ago, and they'd been tight ever since. On July 20--less than two weeks before Baatin's death--the reunited Slum Village filmed a video for a new track from their forthcoming album "Slum Manifesto." Black Milk Broadcast reveals some exclusive footage from the video shoot.

Supernat is incredible.  Why do I gotta be in Detroit the only city that's not on their tour schedule  I would love to go to the Toronto or Chicago show if someone from Guerilla Union wants to hit us up.  Anyone else going?

Check the poster here.

All propers due to MissInfo.
