Nardwuar still continues to shock and awe his interviewees and Tech was no exception. Always outdoing himself and never disappointing, Nardwuar has executed a phenomenal interview yet again. Peep the obligatory "who the f*** is this guy" side-eye action at the beginning of the interview and the EXTRA long freeze pose.
Tech N9ne is something different. For over 12 years of work in the game he's finally getting the mainstream recognition he deserves, which I believe is mostly due to the Internet. Tech N9ne is a perfect example of what happens when you have loyal, die-hard fans vs. fickle radio force-fed fans. It's the difference between throwing a bunch of money at an "investment" vs. allowing an artist to genuinely care about what they do and letting them to grow organically. That's just cursing and poppycock to a label exec's ears. That is, unless you work at Strange Music.
Over the years Tech has went above and beyond to listen to his fans and give them what they want, and it seems to be paying him back in dividends. Maybe he wasn't an overnight success like some, but when these fly-by-night artists get punked out by their fickle fans, because they don't have the record of the minute (like they always do), Tech N9ne will still be around touring and selling out shows and making more money in a night than all of Young Money combined makes (take home) in a month.
Pay this man some respect, in my opinion he has every right to be among the hip-hop kings of our era.

From RadioPlanet:
Whoo Kid got Tech N9ne lost in Time Square, NYC in this warped, deranged video for Tech N9ne’s “Ego Trippin’” off of Tech‘s upcoming mixtape Bad Season which is coming soon.
This episode was bangin! We had a great interview with Strange Music's newest signee, Jay Rock and talked about Chrysler employees getting busted out drinking and smoking green on the job. But it didn't end there, we not only had some great music this episode but we were also blessed when Bishop Lamont pulled his Pope Mobile over to drop in for a minute to talk to your boys about where he's been, the leaving Aftermath Records situation, his work with Rob Dyrdek and much more. Crazy episode.
Shouts to Adam who was in the basement with us this week too!
