I'll try to keep this short, you know that it's really tough for me to do that when I get excited about music.

This morning I sat down and no sooner had I taken a sip of my morning coffee (with Cask & Creme), the homie D said "Yo I just listened to that Tito Lopez freestyle 5 times on YouTube." Talking like I should already know who the hell he's speaking about.  "Tito Lopez?" I asked.  " Sounds like a delicious mexican beer", I thought.   Then he hit me with a link to the above video.

And this, my friends, is the very reason we even started The HoodHype Show five years ago.  There are so many incredible, lyrical, creative and passionate artists out there we rarely hear about unless you catch them in a random video in Dr. Dre's kitchen with Stat Quo.  This guy has a raw God given talent.  This is why I'll never get tired of listening to and supporting independent hip-hop, this is why I'll be doing what I do until I'm six feet under.

So thank you Tito Lopez.   You've just thrown fuel on the proverbial fire cousin. These made-for-radio acts have no idea what's comin.   It's artists like you are going to turn this God forsaken industry on it's head.  Like Dre said at the end, "The voice of the underdog, I like it"

Shouts to Mississippi and keep an eye out for his upcoming album The King's Speech.
