XO is serious and I'm feeling the hell out of this track. I wish more mc's would use Raheem on hooks too, the dude is dope. This track off XO's One. One. Ten mixtape which is out now.

Like @Majorhh Says, I'm a "Diamond District Slappy" and you should be too.  These guys dropped one of the hottest (one of the few) Boom Bap albums of 2009 which made huge waves across the internet and iTunes.  For an independent group with virtually no backing to just drop out of the sky and break out like this is definitely not commonplace in today's fickle, volatile, nitpicky ass marketplace.

Keep your eyes peeled for that "Diamond District Remixes" album coming soon featuring this remix.

Interview with my favorite group (that I know of) out of the DMV featuring one of my favorite producers of 2009.  Props to Oddisee, Y.U. and X.O.  Huge fan of their music.

Produced by Oddisee and off his upcoming free album that drops this Friday titled One.One.Ten available at studio43.com I like this dude's music.  DC is doing something right now, and I link all that buzz to that infamous Diamond District.

Keep your eye on this dude.  One part of Diamond District, XO is definitely a different sound.  I like this cat.  Download link for the track and additional info after the jump!

The 1st leak off of XO's Highly Anticipated Sophmore release "ONE ONE TEN" is the iNFECTiOUS Street Single "DO iT" scored by AB THE PRODUCER.

"DO iT" was shot in the historic district off Howell Mill in ATL last month. This Gritty Masterpiece, shot by PhiltheGod/43FiLMS, takes You on a lyrical journey while navigating through so much decay and distruction.

Dropped waaaaaaaaaay back in June, I completely missed this free mixtape joint from D.C.'s own X.O.  Shouts to Major for the assist, I would have totally missed this had I not seen  X.O.'s video for F.R.N.O.  So much talent is bubbling right now, this is what motivates us to keep doin' what we do.  X.O. is definitely no exception to this rule.  Make sure you download this free joint to bump it in the whip and support some more good music.  Roll the windows down at the drive through the city so everyone hears that shit too, who cares if it's 30 degrees, you can muscle through it, it's for a good cause!  Support real good and good real music!

Album art, track listing and full download link after the jump! Read the rest of this entry »

Dope track right here. I've seen his name around, but this is actually the first XO track that I've really checked out. D.C. is definitely making some noise. This track can be found on XO's Monumental mixtape, click here to download.

Diamond District
I've been waiting for this group (founded by Oddisee) to drop this and it's everything I thought it would be.  Oddisee has got to be my favorite underground producer of 2009 next to a very choice few (what up Terry Cole).   You DID hear the free Rosenberg CD right? If not I suggest you get REAL familiar with dude's work.  I added one of my favorite cuts from this album below because I know alot of you lazy clickin kids need to be SOLD on FREE MUSIC.

From Diamond District's Website:

"In The Ruff is a raw mid-90’s Boom-Bap themed album for the DC state of mind, destined to appeal to all lovers of hip hop’s golden era, managing to travel back in time and push the boundaries of DC Hip-Hop simultaneously."
